| There are two things you need; the software and the music. For software you'll need any music editing programme; Sonar, Audacity, Abelton, Acid Pro. There are hundreds to pick from, most cost at least £200 but Audacity is free to download, search hard enough and you may find a decent product or an old version of something like Acid Pro for about £80. As for music, you can either input your own recordings such as bass, drum, guitar, deck scratches etc. Sampling other peoples music without permission is an illegal option... There are a few websites that you can sign up to (some free, some not) and start downloading soundbites; little bits of bass and synth licks and drum beats. The actual software won't come with music (apart from demo versions of what can be achieved with the software), so you'll have to import the audio from elsewhere. Edit: Some programmes come with a 'drum machine' but you will still need to get other audip from elsewhere. |
